The Ministry of Commerce has provided the Discount Licensing Lists for all relevant seasons in 2021. This is for informing the shops and e-stores owners of the dates specified for requesting the sale licenses through the e-discount service. This service makes it easier for the merchants to apply for the sale licenses without affecting the balance of their annual discount days, and this service also enables them to print the sale licenses directly online.

MC has indicated that the discount lists will start from 01 to 16 January 2021, concurrently with the mid-term school vacation, then the sale lists will be continued in the following seasons: Ramadan, Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha, in addition to back to school season, as well as the National Day season, and finally the end of the year season.

The Ministry of Commerce is endeavoring to create a competitive commercial environment for discounts, also to eliminate the fake offers. This is for protecting the consumers, as well as for raising the level of reliability among the consumers and merchants, besides preserving the rights of all parties.

The Ministry of Commerce calls on the owners of e-stores and commercial shops in the Kingdom to apply for the sales licenses and to avail of this service by accessing the E Discounts System, via the following link: (Sales.mci.gov.sa), then choosing the type of license, and completing the rest of the procedures through the e-portal.

Notably, the Ministry of Commerce had launched the E-Discount System previously in cooperation with the strategic, technical partner Thiqa Business Services Co.
